Our Visit to Olek Bondonio, November 17, 2025
Date of visit: November 17, 2025 Olek Bondonio an award-winning champion snowboarder, who also shares a passion for surfing and skateboarding. In fact, he has a small indoor skatepark just below the fermentation tanks and next to his cellar. Not something that you see everyday when visiting a wine producer! In addition to producing some of our favorite Barbaresco wines, and of course the classics of Langhe (Barbera and Langhe Nebbiolo), Olek produces an outstanding Pelaverga

Visit to Rivella Serafino , November 14, 2025
Date of visit: November 14, 2025 The next stop of our 2025 trip to Langhe was Rivella Serafino. This amazing estate farms just 2 hectares of vines and produces only 1,000 cases per year split between 2 wines; Langhe Nebbiolo and Barbaresco Montestefano. Everything from labeling to corking the bottles is done by hand by the husband and wife team, Teobaldo and Maria. You can read more information about this amazing producer on Polaner Selections website, here . This is half of

Our Visit to G.B. Burlotto, November 13, 2025
Date of visit: November 13, 2025 We visited G.B. Burlotto on November 13, 2025. The wines tasted were mesmerizing, beautiful, and really unlike anything else. As always, we absolutely loved all of them. Tasting notes: 2024 Verduno Pelaverga: An abundance of pine and smoke lead the way on the nose, followed by notes of white and black pepper, rosemary, and fresh crushed cherries, all of which carries over to the palate. It’s spicy, energetic, fresh, and lively, with a silky

Our Visit to Brovia, November 12, 2025
Date of visit: November 12, 2025 Our trip to Bologna had ended, and we were off to Langhe. What better way to start the trip than a visit to Brovia. A producer who we’ve been following closely for many years now, and whose wines always manage to sweep us off our feet. We seem to fall more and more in love with these wines with each passing vintage, and this is a visit which we really look forward to every year. We began the tasting with 2020 Antërsè, Brovia’s sparkling wine

Grapes drying for Vin San Giusto The estate dates back to the 11th century and therefore each time we visit, it really feels as though we’re traveling back in time. Our Visit to Cascina delle Rose, June 2024
Date of visit: June 20, 2024 The walk back from the cellar, towards the tasting room This last year or so has been busier than we could’ve ever imagined, and as a result we’ve sadly had less and less time to post on here. As a result, we have a backlog from visits going back to June 2024, and we’re making it our new year's resolution to get caught up on these as soon as possible. Our final visit of our June 2024 trip to Langhe was to Cascina delle Rose with the extremely kind
